Tony Rushforth

Tony Rushforth is our Deputy Chairman, having previously held the post of Chairman. Prior to this he was the first co-ordinator of the Tin Tops series, having developed the format in conjunction with CSCC founders Richard Wos and Richard Culverhouse.

Tony's motorsport started in 1973, road rallying a Mk1 Cortina, after which followed a series of Mini's and involved him sitting in either the driver or navigator's seat and many other cars as both stage and road rally navigator.

After 'retiring' from competing in rallies he combined competing in Hillclimbs and Sprints with helping his son with his karting career and subsequent racing in Mini's and MG ZR's.

From an organisational point of view, Tony held the post of Chairman for many years of the Slaithwaite Motor Club, during which time he acted as Stage Commander/Area Co-ordinator for what was then the proper RAC Rally!
