Anglesey Roundup

During last Saturday's rain it was easy to forget it was actually mid-summer. Despite this, those who made the journey to Anglesey on 20/21 July were rewarded with some fine racing and some unbelievably close results. The first MG Trophy race was decided by just 5 thousandths of a second!

Whatever car you race and whatever the weather, Anglesey circuit really was and is worth the drive. That message has spread over the years and yet some grids were still lower than deserved, still, this gave a chance for new drivers to shine and those in championships a chance to bag points.

The Marshals, officials, rescue, medical team and circuit staff were all stars. Saturday was a later than usual finish and for those who had no choice to work outside, they got quite a soaking. Despite this, we had no complaints; indeed the feedback we've heard from Marshals is complimentary towards the quality of racing, friendliness of the members and their generosity of donations.

Marc and David did their best to capture video and photographic action, whilst trying not to drown their valuable equipment.

We didn't have a 'proper' reporter this time, but there are short meeting summaries from David Smitheram, in this weeks Autosport and Motorsport News publications.
