Silverstone on 9th March saw our long-running series for Seven-type cars start on the new tyre regulations, including slicks and wets classes for the first time. How did it work out?
Comparing International qualifying times, back in 2019, the gap between pole and last place was 16.3 seconds. The margin in 2025 with the new tyre classes? 16.3 seconds, exactly the same!
The front row were both on slicks, whilst the second row were both on harder, treaded tyres, those behind were mixed up. Understandable for early March, the grid was modest in size, but for those who attended it was dry, bright and dare we say warm at times (when out of the wind)!
