Following our news item and appeal earlier this month, the following communication has just been issued by Motorsport UK.
We are however concerned at the third paragraph and will watch on with interest: 'The seven remaining regulation changes proposed by Race Committee will now proceed to the Motorsport UK Rules Committee and to be considered by the Board for approval.'
Thank you to all of you that took the time to write in to Motorsport UK with your objections, which has resulted in this most welcome withdrawal of the proposal.
As a competitor, I truly appreciate the consultation process and the open dialogue you’ve encouraged around this. The proposed changes were met with mixed reactions, and I think this withdrawal shows that the committee is really listening to the concerns of the motorsport community. Ultimately, maintaining a fair and balanced approach is critical for everyone involved, and I believe this decision will help preserve the integrity of the series.
